PRIVATE SECTOR BLOCK PLEDGES GREATER EFFORTS TO PUSH ADVOCACIES, ELECTS CO-CHAIRPERSONS OF SECCOMs

SECCOMs

RDC 3 Private Sector Representatives (PSRs) will intensify their efforts to push their sectors’ advocacies.  The commitment was agreed by the new set of RDC PSRs during their first coordination meeting last March 13 at the NEDA Regional Office.  In his inspirational talk, Mr. Renato Romero who has long served as PSR in the RDC but now a member of the Board of directors of CDC recalled how he worked vigorously to push his advocacies as a PSR for twenty-two years. His efforts did not go to waste as he saw many projects completed.

Among themselves, the PSRs elected Co-chairpersons for the four RDC Sectoral Committees. Elected were: Casiano Supan, PSR for Development Communication for the Sectoral Committee on Development Administration, Dr. Reynato Arimbuyutan, PSR for Education for the Sectoral Committee on Social Development; Catalina Santiago, PSR for Cooperatives for the Sectoral Committee on Economic Development; George Lorenzana, PSR for Tourism, for the Sectoral Committee on Infrastructure Development.

RDC Chairperson Mayor Edgardo D. Pamintuan earlier named his choices for Chairman of the Sectoral Committees.
