The 16th RDC III commended its officers during its final meeting held on 2 June 2022 in the RDC Conference Hall, NEDA 3 Building, City of San Fernando Pampanga. Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia of Bataan, the 16th RDC III Chairperson, and Dr. Reynato C. Arimbuyutan, its Co-chairperson, were honored with plaques of appreciation. Both were recognized for their invaluable service in harnessing collaborative governance through the Council and for facilitating growth-enhancing initiatives.  

Other officers commended were: Sectoral Committee on Development Administration (SCDA) Chairperson Governor Dennis G. Pineda of Pampanga, SCDA Co-chairperson Casiano M. Supan, SCDA Vice-chairperson Karl Caesar R. Rimando (DILG 3 Regional Director); Sectoral Committee on Economic Development (SCED) Chairperson Governor Susan A. Yap of Tarlac, SCED Co-chairperson Gregoria G. Simbulan, SCED Vice-chairperson Crispulo G. Bautista (DA 3 Regional Director); Sectoral Committee on Infrastructure Development (SCID) Chairperson Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane of Zambales, SCID Co-chairperson Renato G. Romero, SCID Vice-chairperson Roseller A. Tolentino (DPWH 3 Regional Director) and Sectoral Committee on Social Development (SCSD) Chairperson Governor Daniel R. Fernando of Tarlac and SCSD Vice-chairperson May B. Eclar (DepED 3 Regional Director).

In his opening message, Governor Garcia presented an optimistic outlook for the region by recounting that despite the grim events and economic downturn brought by the pandemic, Central Luzon was able to pull ahead and lay the groundwork for recovery at a much faster pace. He challenged the RDC III members to enhance the development planning, investment programming, and policymaking processes to ensure continuity of programs and achieve economic and social progress for the region.
