As NEDA 3 gears up for the second semester, the management and staff held a mid-year assessment and teambuilding  workshop held from July 26 to 28 in different venues.

Designed to facilitate a collective review, reflection, and planning – the Midyear Assessment and Teambuilding kicked off with an analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats facing the organization through a mind map. This shared mind map then became the reference for the General Plan of Action and the Risks and Opportunities Register Assessment.

Stocktaking was also accomplished with the review of the first semester accomplishments which included unplanned outputs as well as unmet targets.  Enabling factors and lessons learned were identified to help the organization meet all its targets for the year. As a way forward, the divisions presented their enhanced Work Program and Financial Plan for the rest of the year.

The second day was spent visiting the National Museum and Intramuros for a  deeper appreciation of the country’s cultural heritage and  history while the third day was dedicated to team building. Through an experiential education process, the principles of communication, trust, inclusion in the midst of diversity and collaboration were highlighted, underlining the importance of the regional office’s core values and ideals of respect, integrity, professionalism and excellence.
