On 03 February 2021, the National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office (NEDA) 3 conducted a virtual technical session with its counterpart in Davao Region (NEDA 11) on the components, structure and capabilities of its Project Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Dashboard.
The activity aims to orient the participants on the essential features and the operating system of NEDA 3’s web-based Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (PMES).
The session commenced with the welcome remarks of NEDA 3 OIC-Regional Director Agustin C. Mendoza. In his message, Director Mendoza acknowledged NEDA 3 PMED staff who developed the innovative PMES and recounted the advantages of operationalizing and institutionalizing such system as part of the regional development planning process.
The technical session proceeded with the discussion on the rudiments of the Project M&E Dashboard. Engr. Susana S. Santiago introduced the system and its features such as geo-tagged photos, timeline status, alert mechanism and monitoring reports. Ms. Geraldine V. Sombero tackled the attributes of the M&E dashboard timeline status of projects. Meanwhile, Engr. Mark Sagun presented the different indicators used in the dashboard, their meanings and references.
Towards the end of the activity, Ms. Laurice Pondoyo of NEDA 11 conveyed her sincerest gratitude to NEDA 3 for sharing their time, knowledge and expertise on managing PMES. She further articulated that the orientation provided a benchmark for their office’s proposed migration to the web-based geospatial technology for monitoring and evaluation.
