The Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) III conducted its 1st quarter meeting on February 26, 2021 through video conference. RGADC III Chairperson and CHED Regional Director Maria Teresita M. Semana presided the meeting which was attended by directors/heads of office of regional line agencies, local government units, state universities and colleges, and private sector representatives.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the announcement and invitation to the RGADC III RPGRP Certification Program. The RPGRP certification at the regional level will enable the RGADC III to certify GAD practitioners, advocates, trainers, and facilitators from the region to augment the limited number of PCW-certified GAD resource persons in Central Luzon. Dr. Remigio Musca of Bulacan State University and member of the RPGRP Screening Committee presented the RPGRP certification process and qualifications of the regional pool.
Interested applicants need to submit the following forms and documentary requirements: i) application letter; ii) GR Pool Capacity Assessment Form and GR Pool Profile form; iii) certified true copies of GAD-related certifications; iv) endorsement letter from the head of agency; and v) certificate of no pending administrative/criminal case to RGADC III through email address firstname.lastname@example.org. The period of application for RPGRP certification is from 1 March to 31 May 2021.
Other topics discussed in the meeting include the RGADC III work program, RGADC III Women’s Month Celebration program, LGU GAD focal point system functionality tool, and presentation of GAD best practices.
